Congratulations to the girls track & field team for being named the 2024 Big North Independence Champions this past Friday!

Individual medalists and champions include:

1. Elizabeth Dankwa placed 1st in shot put with a distance of 36 feet and 10 and half inches and 1st in discus with a distance of 126 feet and 9 inches. She broke the school records in both events

2. Kara Langbaum - 1st place in the 1600m run, 1st place in the 800m run, 3rd place in the 3200m run

3. Alyssa Chan - 1st place in the 100m dash, 2nd place in the 200m dash

4. Payton Dubanowitz - 2nd place in the 800m run, 3rd place in the 1600m run

5. McKenzie Moore - 1st place in the 100 hurdles, 1st place in long jump

6. Ava Milevski - 2nd place in the 400m dash, 6th place in the 200m dash

7. Grace DiToro - 3rd place in the 400m dash

8. Addison Mendel - 5th place in the 400m dash

9. Alise Pauksena - 5th place in the 200m dash

10. Olivia Galambos - tied for 3rd in discus, 5th place in shot put

11. Ashley White - 2nd in javelin

12. Christina Chen - 2nd in high jump

13. Our 4x400m relay team (Addison Mendel, Grace DiToro, Ava Milevski, and McKenzie Moore) placed 4th
