Starting Soon! 2024-2025 School Year Registration for Kindergarten and new First Grade Students will take place through each elementary school beginning February 9th. Only a parent or guardian may enroll the child. Please go to the district website www.wayneschools.com/registration between February 9th and February 29, 2024 for more information and to complete the online registration process. Please note that children must be five years of age on or before October 15, 2024, to be eligible to attend Kindergarten in September of 2024 as per District Policy 5112 - Entrance Age.

On Thursday, November 16, the Wayne Board of Education recognized 57 students for their academic achievements with the National Merit and Advanced Placement Scholarship Program. The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition to recognize student achievement and to award undergraduate scholarships. Established in 1955, the program is open to all U.S. high school students who meet participation requirements. Dr. Mark Toback opened up the program by congratulating the students, their families, and staff members and then provided an overview of the Scholarship program. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Mark Toback will be visiting parents this school year at each of the schools and will get a start at four of our elementary schools. Each event will be an opportunity for parents to hear about all of the exciting things happening in our school district as well as plans for the future of the school system. Each event will also include a question and answer session. While we will accommodate as many parents as possible, each school has limited space.
