The Human Resources Department is responsible for over 1,200 district employees including certified professional staff, certified support staff, and non-certified employees. On average, the Wayne School District hires nearly 100 new or replacement personnel each year. In addition, long and short-term substitutes and other part-time staff are needed for both certified and non-certified positions.
The Human Resources Office monitors all personnel matters to ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements. Additionally, the office prepares recommendations for the administration and the Board, information on assignments, promotions, transfers and other items consistent with the terms and conditions of employment.
